dates back to 1979 and was produced to provide lasting strength and ease of construction. It was ergonomically designed with recessed legs and softened corners for user friendliness and comfort. Very little has changed and it remains ever popular with many thousands in use. The side rails are double bolted to ensure a rock solid construction - as screws get loose over time, especially after a bed has been dismantled. It can therefore be assembled time and again without loss of stability, fully restored by simply re tightening the bolts. The 1”x 6” (25 x 150 mm) ‘flooring grade’ Baltic pine slats are guaranteed to last, being virtually unbreakable in contrast to fragile, mass produced and much cheaper ‘sprung slats’ which are prone to break and are hard to replace.

A substantial centre beam on 4’6 and wider beds ensures a flat, stable base which prolongs the life of the mattress and prevents occupants drifting into the middle. It also eliminates slat movement and disturbance from a restless partner.
