A quality pocket spring mattress contours readily to the body to provide more support while you sleep. They are made with thousands of very fine, unconnected springs sewn into cloth pockets and arranged in a honeycomb pattern. The springs are free to move independently. This allows them to adapt to different requirements and body types, thereby helping to bring comfort to people with more critical needs. Another advantage is that only the springs that one exerts pressure upon respond to movement so there is little bounce and minimal disturbance from a restless partner.
These time proven, hand made mattresses are 9½“ (24 cm) deep with 3300 gm of recycled wool plus 1800 gm of cotton per square metre. They contain only quality components and no unnecessary embellishments. People love them. If we could make them any better - we would.

High quality medium and firm Bonnel springs are wrapped in layers of wool and cotton. They are then covered with Egyptian feather proof cotton tickings and hand tufted (buttoned). The firm (12.5 gauge) and medium (13.5 gauge) springs provide excellent support.
Open coil springs are frequently underrated. They have been around for a very long time, and for good reason. These mattresses contain high quality German springs and natural fillings, and are extremely comfortable and long lasting.
Our Yorkton, Classic and Luxury mattresses are double sided and generously filled. All are equally carefully made. The price differences reflect the amount of fillings that each contains.

The type and quantity of the fillings are equally, if not more important than the springs. Both can be long lasting and comfortable, and the final choice is subjective.
A decision should be made on the preferred ‘feel’ rather than price.
